What do you do on a warm day in late December?

Paint outside of course!

Zara enjoyed experimenting with natural materials in addition to paper and brush; painting rocks and using a conifer branch as a paintbrush.

Handprints are fun too!

We gave splatter painting a try, but I think it would work better with a stiffer brush and wider mesh screen.

If you are a baby, then watching the action is exciting enough!

Zara told me this was her "circle rainbow":

We are thinking of all of our friends cooped up inside due to cold weather. If you want to come visit us in S. Texas the door is always open! This weekend we are supposedly going to have highs near 80 degrees!

Wow, unreal to think that you guys are playing outside with just normal clothes on haha. The boys went out today, bundled to the max and slipped around on the ice and ate snow :)
